The workshop will cover necessary photography and safety gear, lenses and filters, preparation, best practices, the types of shots you can create, and camera settings. You will learn how to shoot the different phases of the eclipse: partial eclipse, Baily's Beads, the Diamond Ring, Prominences, and Totality (including the corona). The workshop will cover photographing the eclipse on its own, as well as part of the landscape with a "string of pearls" sequence.

Most eclipse classes only focus on the settings and gear. What sets this workshop apart is that we will also dive deep into planning, learning how to use both PeakFinder and PhotoPills to align the eclipse with a subject for once-in-a-lifetime shots.

Participants will get the most out of the class if they have PhotoPills and PeakFinder installed on their phones. Please download these prior to the workshop.
