RATING DESCRIPTION

Hiking Distances- Level 2

Daily hiking distances of up to 4 miles total.

Backpack Weight- Level 2

Full Day Hikes: 15-25 lbs, one or two meals, 2-3 L of water + camera gear.

Walking Terrain- Level 2

Lightly Rugged. Maintained dirt and rock trails with well built steps.  

Daily Elevation Gain- Level 1

Daily elevation gains of up to 250 feet.

Heights Exposure- Level 1

No height exposure. 

Vehicle Terrain- Level 3

Moderately Rugged. Dirt roads that may not be maintained. Potentially shallow water crossings, small ledges and obstacles under 12 inches. 

 

 Solitude Rating

Level 4: Remote Wilderness- Hard-to-reach areas that require effort to access, but are semi-popular. You may occasionally see other people.
