May 15, 2027 —  Into the Okavango

Arrive in Maun, Botswana, where the transition from travel to wilderness begins almostimmediately. After a warm welcome and light aircraft transfer into the Khwai region, thelandscape shifts beneath you—floodplains, windingchannels, and scattered palms stretchingendlessly toward the horizon.From the airstrip, we make our way to MmaTsebe Tented Camp, an intimate camp tucked intothe Mopane forest along the Mbudi River. After settling into camp and taking in the rhythm ofthe Delta, we head out for our first afternoon game drive.This first drive is less about rushing for sightings and more about adjusting to the pace ofBotswana—watching elephants emerge from the trees, photographing the changing eveninglight, and experiencing the incredible wildlife density that makes Khwai one of Africa’s premiersafari regions.Dinner back at camp beneath the stars.

May 16, 2027 —  The Rhythm of Safari

Early mornings are where Botswana comes alive. We depart before sunrise as predators finishthe night’s hunt and the first light begins to move across the floodplains.Game drives throughout Khwai and the surrounding concession offer opportunities tophotograph elephants, giraffes, buffalo, lions, leopards, wild dogs, and an extraordinary diversityof birdlife. The constantly changing terrain—from open grasslands to river systems and denseMopane woodland—creates endless photographic variety.Midday is spent back at camp, allowing time to rest, review images, or simply absorb theexperience from the deck overlooking the river.In the afternoon, we slow the pace with a mokoro excursion through the waterways of the Delta.Photographing from water level offers an entirely different perspective—quiet, immersive, anddeeply connected to the landscape itself

May 17, 2027 — Aerial Perspective & Delta Light

Before sunrise, we take to the air for a doors-off helicopter flight over the Okavango Delta.

From above, the scale of the ecosystem becomes impossible to fully comprehend—windingchannels, isolated palms, elephant trails, and shifting patterns of water and earth creating abstractcompositions unlike anywhere else in Africa.This is one of the most creatively inspiring portions of the journey, blending wildlife, landscape,and aerial photography into a completely unique experience.Back at camp, the middle of the day allows time for image reviews, editing sessions, andconversations around storytelling, composition, and working in rapidly changing conditions.By late afternoon, we return to the field for another game drive, chasing the soft evening light aswildlife begins to move again across the concession.

May 18, 2027 —  Deep Into Khwai

By now, the rhythm of safari starts to feel natural—early starts, changing light, long drives, and the unpredictability that makes every outing different.

Today is dedicated to going deeper into the Khwai ecosystem and adapting to whatever conditions and wildlife activity present themselves. We may spend extended time with a leopard moving through the forest edge, photograph elephants crossing shallow floodplains, or wait patiently as dramatic storm light builds over the Delta.

Between drives, we gather for image critiques and conversations focused on refining vision, simplifying compositions, and creating more intentional wildlife and landscape imagery.

The final evening in camp is spent around the fire, sharing stories from the week as the sounds of the Delta carry through the darkness around us.

May 19, 2027 — Final Morning in the Delta, then we head into the Kalahari

One final sunrise drive into the bush.

The last morning is often when everything slows down enough to fully appreciate where you are—the cool air before dawn, distant calls through the trees, and the feeling of being immersed in one of the last truly wild ecosystems on earth.

After brunch, we transfer back to Maun for onward departures.

Arrive in Windhoek in the afternoon, where we meet our local guide and begin the journey immediately—loading into our expedition-equipped Toyota Land Cruiser and heading south toward the Kalahari.

As the landscape opens and the first red dunes begin to appear, Namibia’s scale quickly becomes apparent. Our first evening is spent photographing the warm desert light, long shadows, and sparse landscapes that define this region.

Tonight is about settling into the rhythm of the desert—slower pace, open skies, and the feeling of finally being far away from everything else.

May 20, 2027 —  Quiver Trees & Dark Skies

We begin before sunrise with our first full morning in the field, photographing the desert (with a chance of wildlife!) and the soft early light surrounding camp.

By late morning, we continue south toward one of Namibia’s most iconic landscapes: the Quiver Tree Forest and Giant’s Playground.

As evening approaches, the landscape transforms completely. Ancient giant aloes rise between massive granite boulders while golden light moves across the desert floor, creating endless opportunities for both intimate and grand landscape compositions.

After dark, those interested can head back into the field for astrophotography beneath some of the darkest skies on Earth.

May 21, 2027 — Toward the Namtib Desert

Sunrise unfolds among the quiver trees and granite formations of Giant’s Playground—a location that feels almost prehistoric in the early morning light.

From here, we begin the long journey west toward the Namtib Biosphere Reserve, one of the quieter and more visually striking desert regions in Namibia. Along the way, we pass through Aus, keeping watch for the region’s wild desert horses moving across the open plains.

By afternoon, the terrain begins to shift again: red sand, isolated camelthorn trees, dramatic mountain backdrops, and vast open space in every direction.

We settle into Namtib for the next two nights, focusing less on iconic viewpoints and more on developing a deeper connection to the desert itself.

May 22, 2027 — Desert Rhythm

Today is dedicated to slowing down and working the landscape more intentionally.

Morning sessions focus on the subtle details that make Namibia unique—light moving across dune textures, solitary trees against distant mountains, shifting weather, and minimalist desert compositions.

Midday offers time to rest, review images, or dive into optional post-processing sessions and creative discussions.

In the evening, we head back into the field as the desert begins to cool and the final light transforms the landscape once again.

May 23, 2027 — Entering Sossusvlei

After one final morning in Namtib, we make our way north into the heart of Namibia’s dune country: Sossusvlei.

The scale here is difficult to prepare for. Towering red dunes rise hundreds of feet above the desert floor, creating one of the most recognizable and surreal landscapes anywhere in the world.

For the next two nights, we stay inside the boundaries of the national park at Kulala Desert Lodge, giving us privileged early and late access to Deadvlei and the surrounding dune fields before most visitors arrive.

For those interested, an optional helicopter flight offers the opportunity to photograph the desert from above—revealing abstract dune patterns, dry riverbeds, and endless textures only visible from the air.

May 24, 2027 — Deadvlei & the Dunes

Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the Sossusvlei region.

We photograph both morning and evening when the dunes reveal their strongest shape, texture, and contrast. Rather than rushing between locations, we focus on finding quieter perspectives, working compositions patiently, and exploring more creative interpretations of this iconic landscape.

Between the towering dunes, cracked clay pans, dead camelthorn trees, and constantly shifting light, Sossusvlei offers endless opportunities for both grand landscapes and minimalist detail work.

May 25, 2027 — Return to Windhoek

After sunrise and breakfast, we begin the drive back toward Windhoek.

The journey back offers one final opportunity to absorb the scale and solitude that make Namibia unlike anywhere else—vast landscapes, empty roads, and the feeling of moving through a place still largely untouched.

Guests are transferred either to the airport or to their independently arranged accommodations for onward travel.
