Escalante to Capitol Reef Monsoon: A Milky Way Adventure

Details:

Come join Nathan on an unforgettable adventure across southern Utah as we explore the weird and awesome deserts of the Grand Staircase and Capitol Reef National Parks. The goal of this adventure is two fold. If we are gifted exceptional monsoon weather, we will enjoy epic sunrises and sunsets while we photograph hoodoos, temples, and arches. If the clouds don’t materialize, we will shift towards slot canyons, box canyons and the stunning night sky in one of the last Bortle 1 and 2 skies in the country.

Difficulty- Expect high heat. Potential to hike up to 4 miles, though 2-3 miles will likely be the most we do. Relatively small elevation changes (a hundred feet or so, we won’t climb any mountains)

(Spouse fee- We occasionally have a spouse who would like to come but does not want to do photography. We allow this on occasion depending on seats and vehicle availability and physical limitations of the photographer who is joining us. Spouses receive an additional transaction for food upwards of $450 to cover their cost.)
