The adventure begins on the border of Nevada and California where we will meet in the sleepy town of Searchlight where we will have lunch and go over some important details. From there will will head off into the desert and camp out our first location in the middle of a Joshua Tree forest. He we will set up camp, enjoy food and have a night of photography in the twisted shapes of Joshua Trees.

Day two will begin once again in the Joshua Trees and then see us head off into the heart of the Mojave Preserve. Instead of sticking to the main route on this adventure, we will make a detour to Teuntonia Peak where we will enjoy more Joshua trees while also getting views of rugged Mojave mountains and plant life. We will set up camp here, enjoy dinner and possibly work on photographic techniques like star trail and more educational training as the night sets in.

Our last full day in the Mojave Preserve will see us return to the Mojave Trail and work our way to the salt pans within the region. Along the way we will detour to see some amazing sights, lava fields and much more. Expect high and lows as we travel through deep sand, rough terrain and eventually will find ourselves outside of the giant salt pans near Zzyzx.

On our final day we will first travel to the river crossing that ends our Mojave trail. We will determine if its safe to cross. If all things look good, we will ford the river and end our adventure near Barstow California. If conditions have changed we will take the alternative exit and hot the closes town for a final lunch and call it an adventure!
