Join us for Overlanding the Maze District
Join us for a rugged overland journey into the remote Maze District, a rarely photographed corner of Canyonlands National Park where towering red rock spires, massive cliffs, and untouched trails set the stage for a once-in-a-lifetime photography experience far beyond the beaten path.
Overlanding Maze District
Moab, UT
Highlights:
- Explore the maze district of Canyonalands
- Learn photography in a landscape unlike anything in Utah
- Overlanding on wild and remote roads.
Details:
Join NPC founder, Nic Stover, and Nathan St. Andre as we rock crawl our way into one of the remotest landscapes in the Lower 48, The Maze District. This epic landscape is rarely photographed, but provides some of the most stunning views in red rock country. Along the way we will camp along the edges of massive cliffs, as the base of epic spires and hike on trails only visited by a few every year. This will be a once in a lifetime experience to learn photography in a location that is other worldly.

Nic Stover
Nature Photography Collective was founded in 2021 by Nic Stover, a lifelong entrepreneur and passionate nature photographer based Invermere, British Columbia. Originally from Carbondale, Colorado, Nic now teaches photography classes, leads workshops, and curates educational events that help others create more meaningful, impactful images.
Since going pro in 2020, Nic spends over 90 days a year in the field and has traveled to all seven continents. Still, it’s the familiar places—like the Canadian Rockies, the High Sierra, and the Desert Southwest—that fuel his creative journey most deeply.
His mission is to help nature photographers confidently express themselves through their work—focusing on creativity, emotion, and connection. Classes explore everything from composition and light to color theory and black & white photography, with opportunities for all skill levels to grow.
Nathan St. Andre
is a fine art landscape photographer and biology professor based in Southern Utah. Specializing in capturing the dramatic beauty of the desert Southwest, his work focuses on a mixture of remote and iconic landscapes. Nathan's dual passion for wildlife and photography informs his distinctive perspective, allowing him to showcase the natural world with both scientific insight and artistic vision. His work is displayed and sold at fine art festivals across the region and has images in homes and offices across the world. He has made appearances in Utah Life Magazine and Improve Photography. He has also been interviewed on a hand full of podcasts including F-Stop Collaborate and Listen. Beyond photography, Nathan is dedicated to conservation efforts, aiming to raise awareness about the delicate ecosystems of the Colorado River system.
