Details
The Infrared Creative Retreat & Intensive is a cohort-based creative experience dedicated to black-and-white infrared photography. The program uses infrared as a creative constraint — a way to slow down, see more clearly, and build more intentional work. It combines a 3-month online bootcamp with a 4-day field retreat in Southern Utah, offering a structured progression in seeing, creating, and refining through the medium of infrared.
The program is centered on creative progression and personal voice — with technical support woven in wherever participants need it. Participants move through the bootcamp in two-week cycles — shooting one week, editing and reflecting the next — accumulating work, insight, and direction. By the time they arrive in Southern Utah, they are photographers with a defined project and developing vision, ready to go deeper in a diverse landscape that offers a rich supply of infrared-friendly subjects.
