Go Further. Stay Longer. See Differently.
If you’re looking for a checklist workshop, this isn’t it.

Access You Can’t Google

We don’t follow crowds or fixed itineraries.

Our workshops are built around mobility—overland travel, real-time conditions, and deep knowledge of the terrain. That means we go where the light is right, not where the parking lot is full.

You’ll find yourself in places most photographers never reach—not because they’re secret, but because they require effort, timing, and intent.

Learn How to See, Not Just What to Do

We focus on decision-making—light, composition, timing—so you leave knowing how to approach any landscape, not just the ones we visit.

Handled so you don't have to think about it

From the moment you arrive, everything is dialed—so your focus stays on light, timing, and the experience.

  • Food and non-alcoholic drinks
  • All transportation during the workshop
  • Lodging throughout the trip
  • Permits and park access
  • Guidance and real-time instruction in the field

Shared Experience, Not Just Shared Space

You’re not just surrounded by photographers—you’re with people willing to go further, wait longer, and care about the experience as much as the image.

That tends to create something more than a typical workshop dynamic.

This is for photographers who are ready to go deeper.

Not just better photos, but better decisions. Better awareness. Better connection to the landscape.

You don’t need to be advanced.
But you do need to be curious, patient, and willing to step outside your comfort zone.

If you’re looking for a fast-paced, checklist-style workshop, this probably isn’t it.

Upcoming Photography Workshops

Experience Driven

This Is Where Photography Becomes Experience

  • Learning how to see (not just how to shoot)
  • Presence in the field
  • Creative confidence
  • Community and shared experience
  • Slow, intentional growth
  • Photography as expression, not validation

I have been part of the evolution of Nature Photography Collective since finding Nic in early 2020.  Over the years I have taken various online classes from Nic and other speakers since before NPC and have wanted to attend in person workshops for some time, but always had conflicts. I was excited when Nic announced the Death Valley overlanding format, and I signed up immediately and I was not disappointed!

The meals were very good even as the nights were cold and the 4x4’s provided us with comfortable access to places most only dream of going. I'll definitely be joining NPC again to explore other landscapes, and especially in this unique format!

The destination was great & your (Nic) knowledge of the territory was outstanding. The class size was small & allowed for more personal interaction, which I think aided in the sharing & comradery that developed in just a few days. Again, you were responsible for fostering that comity. You were attentive to each of us, checking as to how we were doing & answering our questions. Overall, thank you for a wonderful experience!

I am not being a happy pappy here - if there was anything more I could have wanted I would let you know. If I am anything it is brutally honest. There was enough time to rest in between the excursions, there was enough time to work on processing, we didn't spend too long at the locations, everything turned out perfectly. I learned a lot, enough to know I really need to learn a lot more, truly what more could I ask for? I am still walking around in a cloud of wonder and awe! Some of those who attended told me personal stories that made me care so much for them, actually everyone. I am quite sure I will attend another of your workshops next year, and I will become more active with your online classes. Thank you, Nic. What an adventure in photography!!

If this way of working resonates, you probably already know.

These workshops aren’t about checking off locations or filling a portfolio—they’re about learning how to move through a landscape with intent.
